Privacy policy

1. Overview

Jupick (jupick.com, “the site”) values your privacy and follows the applicable laws. This document explains what information the site handles, how cookies and ads work and what choices you have.

2. Personal information collected

The site has no sign-up and does not directly collect personal information such as names, email addresses or phone numbers. Only when you send a question by Threads DM do we receive your account and message, which are used only to answer you and are not stored separately.

3. Cookies and ads (Google AdSense)

To stay free, the site shows Google AdSense ads. Please note the following.

1. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites.
2. Google may use advertising cookies to show personalized ads based on your previous visits.
3. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of personalized ad cookies from third-party vendors at www.aboutads.info.
4. Refusing ad cookies does not limit any feature of the site. The ads are simply shown without personalization.

4. Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to see visit statistics. Please note the following.

1. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect device and browser information and visit information (pages visited, time of visit, referrer, approximate location and so on). Clicks on the share buttons and on the Threads and Instagram account links are counted the same way.
2. Google collects and processes this information under its own policies. The site uses it only to look at visit statistics such as visitor counts and does not use it to identify who you are.
3. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on so that visit information is not sent.
4. Refusing cookies or visit tracking does not limit any feature of the site.

5. Browser local storage

So that the site can show your earlier settings when you come back, it saves the following values in your browser’s local storage (localStorage).

1. Display theme (light or dark)
2. Your list of favorite stocks
3. Steps marked as read in the learning path
4. Best streaks in the grade quiz and the sector median quiz
5. The last values entered and options chosen in hands-on tools such as the grade calculator, the financial statement lab and the percentile explorer

These values stay on your device, are never sent to a server and cannot identify you. You can delete them at any time with your browser’s clear site data function.

6. Sharing with third parties

The site does not collect or keep personal information, so it has none to give to third parties. Ad cookies (section 3) are handled by ad vendors including Google, and visit statistics (section 4) by Google, under their own policies. 7. Use of the YouTube API Services

Jupick uses the YouTube API Services to upload videos made by the operator to Jupick’s YouTube channel. The upload tool is used only by the operator on the operator’s own PC. Site visitors never use it, and nobody signs in with a Google account on the site.

1. The tool does not access visitors’ YouTube or Google account information, and does not collect, store or share it.
2. The tool handles only the operator’s videos, their titles and descriptions, and the video IDs and addresses returned after upload. The IDs and addresses are recorded only on the operator’s PC and are not given to third parties.
3. Videos on YouTube and their viewing information are processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
5. Access granted to the tool can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page. Once it is revoked, the operator deletes the stored credentials and the records of video IDs and addresses within 7 days.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the changes and the new effective date are posted on this page. Please send questions by the Threads DM listed on the contact page.
